N. Travis Triplett is a Professor and Director of the Strength and Conditioning Concentrations for the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University. Her past experience includes being Director of the Strength Centers at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a research assistantship in Sports Physiology at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Triplett is currently a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and a past Assistant Editor-in-Chief for theStrength and Conditioning Journa. She is also certified by United States of America Weightlifting (USAW) as a Club Coach. Her research focuses on how strength training can improve the quality of life and improve bone density and muscle function in individuals age 60 and older.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
