Kurt McDowell holds a Masters degree in Nutrition and Exercise and is currently a doctoral student in Sport Physiology and Performance at East Tennessee State University, where he serves as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, sport scientist, and researcher. Additionally, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has published research on body composition and performance of collegiate athletes and is currently conducting research on performance outcomes resulting from different training methodologies, particularly with accentuated eccentric loading.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
